A Yemeni leader and international expert in development policies and peacebuilding. She began as a pioneering voice in media, later becoming the first woman to lead a sovereign ministry in Yemen (the Ministry of Human Rights). She has held senior positions within the United Nations and the diplomatic corps, including Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations and Yemen’s Ambassador to the Netherlands. She is considered a pioneer in media work and social change, and serves as a consultant for international institutions such as the World Bank. A strategic reference in issues of good governance and human rights, she has been honored with numerous international awards for her contributions to sustainable development.
